Padres vs Dodgers, July 2011As part of a charity event for Canine Companions, we had the winning bid for a Dodgers game with the Marlins Scout, Joe Moeller. Naturally, we picked a game where the Dodgers were playing the Padres. Joe was scounting the Padres, who would play the Marlins after the next series. Joe is an x-Dodgers pitcher; in fact, the youngest pitcher ever for the Dodgers. He played for the Dodgers from 1962-1971.Jason and I (and Marisa) had a great time. We were on the field for batting practice and Joe introduced us to a number of coaches and players. He sat with us for part of the game and showed us the job of a scout; recording every Padre pitch and hit. Joe was the perfect host. Thank you Joe.
